Mario and Luigi 3 UPDATE by KojinkaLuigiGodzilla Mario and Luigi 3 UPDATE by KojinkaLuigiGodzilla
This is my idea how the M&L US/Europe boxart could look. Simple compared to the US boxarts of the previous Mario & Luigi RPGs, but there's more going on here than the Japanese boxarts for all three. Needless to say, I have high expectations for the US/Euopean boxart design. I drew Mario, Luigi, and Bowser, but copy pasta'd Fawful and the Star bob-omb thing (sorry if my knowledge on that character is limited; I'm avoiding certain details of the game until the US release.)

EDIT: updated with the official logo. I just bought my copy, and I must say I am very tempted to tape this on top of the official boxart. It's like they didn't want it to live up to the amount of activity that the boxarts of the first two had.

I do not own anything here. All subjects used (except for the rating, which belongs to ESRB) are trademarks of Nintendo. This boxart design is just fanart.

The cover is like it is becuz Nintendo wanted 2 use the Japanese style of Boxart frm last 2 M RPGs---I think thats the reason

As much as I appreciate the regional consistency, SS and PiT were two of the few cases were the US boxart was actually more interesting than the Japanese.

I have to say, your version is much better than the original cover.

Nintendo's is so boring!!

Yours is lively, and pretty to look at. :)

Nice job!

Looks WAY better than the official cover.

Yeah, you're right, the actual cover turned out pretty lame.

Mario&Luigi is one of the few video game series, where I've always liked the american boxart better than the japanese. But here, they didn't change the boyart, causing it to stay... boring. Yeah.

Yours is way better.

The US version is out a while ago.

Disappointed? =P

I'd have like to have this as the cover!

My artist's comments addresses my disappointment. The official boxart is not terrible, but it's bland and inconsistent when compared with the previous games.

I'll most likely leave my box alone, since it's not like I have to look at it a lot; it's just going to go on my shelf collecting dust with the rest of my DS game boxes. The game itself is great, which is what should matter most.
But something needs to be done with that cart art! It desperately needs more color.

Wow, it's perfect. you should be called on to create new designs for videogame boxarts (Mario and Sonic chiefly), have you ever imagined? :highfive:

If you want to do a French version, here's the title :

Mario & Luigi : Voyage au centre de Bowser
